World Computer Chess Championship is organized to determine the World Computer Chess Champion for a particular year. It is an annual event where chess machine from all across the world participate and play against each other. International Computer Games Association is the organizer of the event. The event is concurrent with Computer Olympiad, which in itself is a tournament of other board games.
The World Computer Chess Championship is played among the microprocessors, clusters, dedicated chess hardware and supercomputers. Rybka is the reigning World Computer Chess Champion and the winner of 2008 World Computer Chess Championship held in Beijing, China.
