    Following his preparation and training in this quite town in 2002, Karpov established his first US Chess School in Lindsborg. Dr. Mikhail Korenman was appointed as the Director and soon he organized several classical match ups, International and US tournaments. Lindsborg was awarded the “Chess City of The Year” in 2004 by U.S Chess Federation.

    Lindsborg offers “Virtual School” chess classes on the internet. In collaboration with INTECS, a non-profit, educational Kansas Organization called International Chess Institute of the Midwest (ICIM) was formed in 2006.

    Several activities, summer camps apart from chess instructions are provided to all students. ICIM also does business as “Anatoly Karpov International School of Chess” in Lindsborg, Kansas.

    The Indian Chess School is one of the reputed chess school at Borivali (West), which is functioning uninterrupted since the year 1997 at the Bima Nagar Education Society's High School, Jeevan Bima Nagar.

    The chess courses which are offered are for all levels. For beginners, the course is basically designed for the children in the age-group of 6+. The course is spread over 12 weekend sessions of 60-minutes each, comprising of teaching chess theory to the trainees in an enjoyable way. The level 2 course is for Elementary Chess Course which provides over 12 weekend sessions of 60-minutes each, comprising of teaching chess theory to the trainees in an enjoyable way. The Intermediate Level comprises of over 24 weekend session of 60-minutes each, comprising of teaching chess theory to gain mastery in each of the segments of the game – Openings, Middle Game & the End-game. The basic aim would be to help trainees to become strong club players. For this purpose the trainees would be encouraged to participate in the Open District/Inter-School Chess tournaments. Level-4 modules are for the advanced players with 52 weekend session of 90-minutes each, comprising of teaching advanced concepts to gain mastery in each of the segments of the game – Openings, Middle Game & the End-game. The basic aim would be to help trainees achieve the FIDE Ratings. For this purpose the trainees would be encouraged to participate in the State/National/FIDE Rating tournaments.

    Headed by GM Andrei Istratescu, Elo rating 2631, “International Chess School” was formed in May 2007 to train and develop STRONG and QUALITY chess players through a One year curriculum. This school has rich experience in preparing junior and seniors for national teams.

    International Chess School has expertise in online teaching offering guidance to students of all ages. The one year program includes complete chess training with strategy, tactics, and endgames. The school lessons are focused on middlegames and greatly increase the positional understanding of the student. This training program also teaches them how to think, preparing them for any practical situation on the chess board. The theoretical lessons are combined with instructive games, exercises, questions and positions for individual analysis, followed by comprehensively annotated solutions to complete our chess course.
